Over coffee, Max and Patrick bond over sobriety and their love for Empire records. When Max feels ill and rushes to the washroom, The Divine explains that his nausea and sudden weight gain is the result of him having Couvade Syndrome. Kyle arrives using "find my friends" concerned that he hasn't heard from Max in a hot second. Max rejects Kyle thinking he'll blow Max's cover and Kyle puts him in his place. Noticing how thrown off he is, Patrick offers to go for a walk where he invited Max to his first AA meeting.
