Gill introduces her new sergeant to Det Sup Will Pemberton at the Police Initiative launch. However, it would seem that Rachel did not need any introduction. Will would like to let everyone know how the pair know each other whereas Rachel would prefer to keep it quiet. Janet is inspired to keep at the dating game after seeing the set up Eleanor Goodhead has with Ade. The murder of a woman in a hotel room in Manchester with a necklace with the name 'Lola' is the only item for the team to go on.
