Charlie has dated the daughter of Evelyn's new boyfriend, and tries to get out. Evelyn's boyfriend discovers this and dumps her, but not because of what happened, but he left her for another woman. This makes her depressed and she doesn't leave Charlie and Alan alone - spending hours performing songs in front of them and Jake in the living room.
