A real estate developer is found killed in the middle of the "Mud Bowl", a famous football game that is between two rival towns. Jim discovers that there are more secrets that the town is not sharing. Jim tries to ask Callie how she feels about him, but he is not allowed when her mother-in-law comes for a visit.
