Laura has secured a work placement and, with Janet out at work and Alan not safe enough on hi s own with a baby, Laura takes up Jamie’s offer to babysit. After Jamie discovers that he has an exam on the same day he doesn’t want to let Laura think he’s shirking his responsibility. He ends up leaving Emily with his last resort babysitters, Mike and Beth.
