Mike, having been restored to life by The Magna Defender's sacrifice, begins to rebuild his life on the colony. Leo, believing Mike to be the true heir to his Quasar Sabre, contemplates returning it to him. Scorpius deploys another monster to take the Rangers hostage, leaving only the Corbetts to face Skeletron alone. Mike refuses the mantle of the Red Ranger, believing Leo has earned his position, but soon becomes aware of powers that he can use to continue the noble legacy of The Magna Defender
