The country is currently in the middle of a baby boom. More babies where born last year than any other year in the previous 20. Some maternity units around the country though are finding it hard to cope with the demand and some women aren't getting the care they need. The show has commissioned a survey of every maternity unit in the country to discover just how widespread the problems really are.
