A couple of strong-willed first-time mothers give birth at Leeds General Infirmary. Alexandra is 25 and likes to be known as Sasha and is fiercely independent. She left her home country of Latvia in search of adventure and ended up in Leeds. The baby's father isn't around anymore and Sasha wants to go it alone. Surbhi is from the warrior Hindu caste and knows exactly what she wants. Her husband, Kaushik, who's from a caste of philosophers, will do anything to try and keep her happy.
