Marie's family pulls the ripcord, and Davíd threatens to take away Marie's custody of Santos if her lifestyle doesn't change. Marie then gives in and temporarily moves in with her brother Johan and his wife in the deepest part of the country. This ensures her family's complete control. Until Marie escapes.
