Hosted by Bob Barker, Helen O'Connell and Corinna Tsopei and held in Acapulco, Mexico - This is the 27th Miss Universe pageant. There are 75 contestants this year, but only one will be the winner. The judges have voted and Margaret Gardiner from South Africa is crowned Miss Universe 1978.
