Lydia McCarthy, a wealthy young woman, hires Thomas to find her family's former chauffeur, claiming that he stole some jewelry from her. Thomas finds the man, who insists that Lydia is obsessed with him. As Thomas investigates further, the case leads him to a black market operation dealing in kidnapped babies.
