The hospital holds an emergency drill to see how the staff would cope with a terrorist attack, but tensions within the team prove a barrier to them working well together. Lord Byrne puts Joseph under pressure, prompting the young surgeon to overdose on the drugs he has been taking to control his obsessive compulsive disorder.
