It's Christmas, and Phoebe is shocked to learn her grandmother has been lying to her about her long-lost father and hatches a plan to find the father who abandoned her when she was a child. Taking Joey and Chandler along, Phoebe finds his address. But what will she find? Meanwhile, Monica's Christmas party is turned into a sauna party when Ross breaks the knob off the heater, whilst Ross attempts to win back Rachel by asking her to make a list about his good and bad points, giving her the opportunity to get revenge.
