1 - 8: Southern Fried and Some Sides

Octavia Spencer and Edgar "Dook" Chase meet three family teams for a deep-fried home cook competition. In round one, sisters Dawn and Darla, mother and son Sandra and Steven, and mother and daughter Mrs. Le and J. Le take on a classic element of Southern cuisine: fried food. In the second round, the two remaining teams bring their family's twist to one of guest judge Tim Gunn's longtime favorite dishes for a chance at $10,000.
