With her help, Chief Inspector Vera Lanz's team is able to track down the suspected kidnapper. As it turns out, the man recently died of heart failure. His son Valentin Wimmer can also do little to clarify the matter. He is autistic. Vera is running out of time. Two victims are still missing. They threaten to starve .
