When David (Robert Bathurst) and Robyn
(Lucy Robinson) are woken in the early hours by the police David assumes
the worst; has something has happened to one of the kids?
A trip to the Doctors confirms Adam's (James Nesbitt) suspicions about Pete (John Thomson). Adam and David set about cheering Pete up with an adrenaline fuelled bike ride. Pete appreciates his friends' efforts, but shaking off the black dog just isn't that simple.
A visit to see care patient Harry (James Bolam) adds to Pete's woes when Harry makes a morose request. In a bid to escape the pressures at home Jenny's (Fay Ripley) moment of madness at work comes back to haunt her.
