Petroc Trelawny presents from the Royal Albert Hall as Thomas Adès conducts the National Youth Orchestra on a musical journey to the underworld and back. The programme opens with Liszt's Mephisto Waltz No 1, a whirlwind score based on Nikolaus Lenau's epic poem Faust, followed by Adès' own Dante - Part 2: Purgatorio, the central act of his Grammy Award-winning ballet.
