James impresses as a mature vet, and Helen considers plans to invest in the future of the farm - can she get Richard on board?When a new vet arrives in Darrowby, Siegfried is suspicious of his tactics, Tristan's impressed with his style, and James begins to question himself.James, Helen and the kids visit the local sweet shop where confectioner Geoff Hatfield is concerned about his cat Alfred. James becomes increasingly stumped as to what's wrong.Dorothy seems to be having a positive effect on Siegfried, and Mrs Hall enjoys having her friend around. Jimmy's excited to start school but has to adjust to the changes that it brings.
