The Last Stand

Plot

The Last Stand is a 2013 Arnold Schwarzenegger's action-drama film. This is his first leading role since T3 of 2003 and also the first American movie production by Kim Ji-woon and cinematographer Kim Ji-yong. Other stars featured on "The Last Stand" are Forest Whitaker, Johnny Knoxville, Rodrigo Santoro, Luis Guzman, Eduardo Noriega, Peter Stormare, Zach Gilford, and Genesis Rodriguez. The movie features the story of Sheriff Ray Owens (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) who is a man who already dedicated his remaining life to fighting what little crimes takes place in the sleepy border town Sommerton Junction after he left his past life with the LAPD where a bungled operation left him wracked failure and defeated after his partner was crippled by the said operation. However his simple life in the small town will change when a most notorious FBI prisoner escape and head straight to Summerton Junction to slip across the border. Sheriff Ray is asked to assist the U.S. law enforcement to make the last stand and intercept the said prisoner. At first he was reluctant to be part of the interception because of the perception that his small town force doesn't have that force to counter such prisoner but later accepts the responsibility and the face-off begins.
