Plot

The third film adaptation of Stephen King's novel, Carrie. The 2013 movie stars Chloe Grace Moretz as the primary protagonist of the movie, Carrie White and Julianne Moore as her mother, Margaret. Other stars included in the supernatural horror film are Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Alex Russell, Gabriella Wilde, Ansel Elgort, and Meaghan Martin. Carrie (2013) follows the life of Carrie White who is a shy girl outcast by her peers and nurtured by her deeply religious mother. The maltreatment of her mother makes her a lonely girl and an awkward teen. She was bullied and hurt. They don't know that Carrie has a secret and when her classmates pull a prank on her during the prom night, they discover her terrifying and deadly secret. They learned a lesson that will cause their lives, that is: "If you play with fire, you get burned." The movie was directed by Kimberly Peirce (director of Stop-Loss, Boy's Don't Cry, The L Word).
